David grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame and his Juris Doctorate with honors from The George Washington University Law School. He spent two years in Chicago and has now returned home, and to the roots of his art, to complete his next work of fiction and perform service work in the law.
